  • The past exists in my mind as a reservoir of images that can be reconfigured, recast, and combined in different ways: an ever-running hallucinatory cinema of the imagination. The reconstruction of memory, like the recording of history, is a dubious exercise, and one that should be treated with skepticism. Even our moment-to-moment experience is a tempered hypothesis, constantly open to interpretation. My work lies at the confluence between remembrance and the production of an imagined space, a “new” moment that exists both in the past and the present, derived from attempted articulation and illusion.
