Melissa Matthewson’s work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in River Teeth, Terrain, Numero Cinq, Pithead Chapel, Literary Mama, Prime Number, and Under the Gum Tree among other publications. She is currently pursuing an MFA in creative nonfiction from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives in the Applegate Valley of southwestern Oregon where gas stations have attendants and old growth trees still exist. Melissa bemoans the loss of top-loading tape decks and home milk delivery.
