Brett Slezak is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and MFA candidate in Creative Nonfiction Writing at Columbia College Chicago. His writing has appeared in The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Columbia Poetry Review, Blue Mesa Review Online, and Ghost Proposal. Brett is also an Assistant Editor at South Loop Review. Defunct are the days of Purplesaurus Rex Kool-Aid, baseball cards flapping in bike spokes, ladder matches involving Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels, and blowing frantically into videogame cartridges in an effort to get them to work. Brett really misses all of that.
